Starting around Thanksgiving, festive lights blanket Main Street, Santa makes surprise appearances, and the slopes sparkle as snow continues to fall from the sky.

- The season kicks off the day after Thanksgiving with music, cocoa, and a countdown to the lights.

Santa Claus Visits Deer Valley - December 24th
- Santa Claus visits guests in the Snow Park Lodge base area from 9 to 11 a.m. and mid-mountain near Silver Lake Lodge from noon to 1:30 p.m.

Torchlight Parades

Both Park City Mountain (December 24) and Deer Valley Resort (December 30) host stunning torchlight parades, as skiers weave down the slopes with glowing torches.

Silver Sky Nights
Silver Sky Nights is one of the signature winter celebrations at Canyons Village. These select evenings from 4 pm - 12:00 am bring fireworks, live music, and après-ski ambiance beneath the stars. It’s the perfect cap for a ski day.

New Year’s Eve at Canyons Village

Intermountain Health Freestyle International Ski World Cup - January 16
Just a week before Sundance, the world’s best freestyle skiers descend on Deer Valley Resort for one of the most exciting spectator events of the season. Watch aerialists and mogul specialists compete under the lights, with fireworks and fanfare to match. Bundle up and arrive early for the best viewing. Parking fills fast, so plan to use shuttles or public transit.
Sundance Film Festival - January 23 – February 2, 2025
For over 40 years, the Sundance Film Festival has turned Park City into the epicenter of independent film. The town buzzes with premieres, panels, and red-carpet moments, offering visitors a rare mix of powder days and pop culture. This year marks the farewell to Sundance in Park City—making 2025 the final chance to experience the festival where it all began. Plan early. Lodging and dining book up fast, but even without tickets, you can soak in the festival’s energy with live music, one-off screenings, and people-watching on Main Street.
TEDxParkCity: Big Ideas - January 30
Right between the World Cup and Sundance, Park City’s local TEDx event brings together visionaries, creatives, and community builders for an evening of storytelling and inspiration. It’s a reminder that Park City’s creativity extends far beyond the slopes.
February: Winter Pride

Now in its third year, Women’s Weekend at Park City Mountain is all about empowerment, connection, and fun. With professional ski and ride clinics, uplifting après events, and plenty of laughter, it’s a celebration of women who love winter adventure. Whether you’re linking your first turns or carving black diamonds, it’s a chance to progress your skills and meet like-minded women who share your passion for the mountain. Spring Concert Series at Canyons Village - Begins March 7 — Every Saturday Through Closing Day
Kick off spring with free live music at the Canyons Village Forum Stage every Saturday. This is spring skiing at its best—sunshine, good tunes, and that relaxed vibe that makes March feel like a reward for getting through winter.
G. Love & Special Sauce — Lemonade 20th Anniversary Tour - March 11
G. Love & Special Sauce brings their signature sound to Park City’s newest live music venue The Marquis. An incredible chance to catch a national tour in an intimate mountain setting.
Peaks & Beats Music Festival at Canyons Village - March 28–29
Two days of free outdoor concerts bring the spring après scene to life as local and national acts take over Canyons Village for a high-energy weekend.
Shred for Red at Deer Valley - March 28th
Join Deer Valley and Blood Cancer United for the eighth annual Shred for Red, a family-friendly ski day supporting blood cancer patients and their families. Ski alongside Olympians and Paralympians, explore on-mountain activities, and end the day with a celebratory après reception at Snow Park Lodge.
Pond Skimming at Park City Mountain - April 11
One of Park City’s most beloved traditions, the annual pond skim invites the brave (and wacky) skiers and riders to try to skim across an icy pond as the crowd cheers just as loudly for the crashes as the successes. This annual event is weather dependent. While April is usually pretty good for skiing corn snow and parking lot après, you may get a sneaker powder day as well!
