When the snow melts and the wildflowers start to pop, Park City turns into a whole different kind of playground. The trails dry out, Main Street fills back in, and the mountains you spent all winter skiing and riding open up for hiking, biking, patio hangs, and long golden evenings that stretch into twilight.

Summer here isn’t just one thing—it’s concerts on the lawn, open-fire dinners in the mountains, local races, art festivals, and those spontaneous moments that turn into the highlight of your trip. Whether you’re planning ahead or just looking for a reason to be outside, here’s what’s worth circling on your calendar. Stay up to date on what's happening in Park City by keeping regular tabs on our events calendar!

Memorial Day Weekend: May 22–25 The Unofficial Start to Summer

Back to Top Back to Top of List

The long Memorial Day weekend in Park City is a great chance to stretch your winter legs and hit the trails. This year with the early melt, almost all trails below 8000' (and some facing the right aspect) are dry and clear of trees. Be sure to explore Park City's expansive trail system. The Utah Olympic Park opens for the 2026 summer season. Check out the alpine slide, extreme tubing, and ropes courses in addition to their Olympics museums—all tucked into a stunning alpine setting.
