A Summer Evening on a Park City Patio: Where to Eat Outside With a View

After a warm summer day on the trails, you're going to need three things: cold beers, good food, and a cool mountain breeze. The first two can be found all across town. But to complete the equation, you're going to need an outdoor patio to kick back and relax on. A good patio isn't just a nice spot with a view; it's a meeting place, an outdoor living room. It's where friends meet to laugh, talk, and reminisce on their day. Below are a few of our favorites plus some honorable mentions. But this list only scratches the surface. There a ton of great places to sit and eat outside all through Park City!

Main Street

This bar is a local's staple, and one of the best spots to watch the game on Main Street. However, it's patio faces out to lower Main Street and you can watch folks get on and off the Town Lift. If you're cruising Main Street, Collie's is a good spot to rest before heading back up. Or if you ride or hike out of Daly Canyon or down Mother Urban or Sweeney's Switchbacks, Collie's is steps from the ends of those trails.

• No Name Saloon: "The Alamo" has a great roof top deck and it's right in the middle of Main Street.
• Union Patisserie: A Parisian-inspired café at the corner of Main and Heber Avenue. It's a great spot for an espresso and pastry!

Trailside Bites

At the base of Park City Mountain's Mountain Village, there are five trails that start and/or end right at the parking lot: Mother Urban, Crescent Mine Grade (CMG), Jenni's, Armstrong, and Seldom Seen. Needless to say, this is a good spot to park and ride and hike from. And after a dusty adventure, you're going to need to cool off. The Silver Star Café has a great outdoor patio, just a few minutes from the parking lot by bike and steps from the Armstrong trail. The menu is elevated but satiating after a long bike ride or hike. And you can't beat the views of the Silver Star lift, the Park City Golf Course and the mountains beyond!

At the Center of Everything

Park City has a lot to offer. Recreation of course. But also shopping, history, and arts and culture. All these opportunities are spread throughout town. And in the middle is a hidden gem called Boneyard. This proper saloon and kitchen is on an unassuming road, and if you didn't know it was there, you might pass right by it. But Boneyard isn't a spot to be overlooked because aside from being a great bar and restaurant in Park City, it has one of the best roof top patios in town. You can often catch live music. And their deep menu is filled with great food and libations. After any adventure (or not) it's definitely worth stopping by. 

Cold Brews

What's a hike or ride without a frosty glass filled with local ale? We're not sure actually. That's why we're adding Park City Brewing in Kimball Junction to our list of the best patios in Park City. Aside from craft beer, PC Brewing offers up craft cocktails and a full bar menu. The folks who run the brewery are all people who live, work, and play here and they're most interested in creating damn good beer and sharing it with others.

Honorable Mentions

• We can't talk about beers and not mention Offset Brewing. There new location is just outside of town, and they have a great culture built around community and recreation. 
• High West has a great outdoor patio on Main Street and covers those who are more interested in craft spirits and cocktails.
