June—it’s the unofficial official start of summer in Park City! It’s when the trees leaf all the way out, most of the upper elevations trail are dry and ready to ride or hike, and summer events, activities, and concerts really kick off. The weather in Park City in June is mild—we'll call it sweater weather at night, but you'll want shorts and a sun shirt during the day. Deer Valley opens their bike park, Park City Mountain starts running the Crescent chairlift and Red Pine Gondola, and Woodward opens their bike park and camps. Historic Main Street is teeming with activity: artists and shops show their fares and restaurants open their desks and patios for outdoor dining. Let's check out some options below and kick off summer right!
Park City Farmer's Market
Each Wednesday throughout the summer and fall, Park City Mountain hosts the Park City Farmers Market. Explore local vendors’ Utah-grown produce, artisan pizza, farm-fresh flowers, crafts, and more in the Park City Base Area parking lot! Don't miss this chance to shop local in Park City and support our thriving small businesses!
Park Silly Sunday Market on Historic Main Street
The Park Silly Sunday Market kicks off June 2nd, making for a fun, family-friendly afternoon on historic Main Street. Vendors at the market change every week, offering a different experience each visit. Live music, food trucks, and beverage tents cap off the fun! Using public transit, riding your bike or a Summit Bike Share e-bike is recommended.
Check Out a Free Concert
Enjoy live music? In Park City, you can enjoy a show nearly every day of the week—many of which are free and outside. Check out Mountain Town Music and Silver Star Cafe for June Shows.
Golf
Most golf courses in the Park City area are open by the end of May, if not earlier. June is a great time to hit the links as moderate temperatures make for comfortable golfing. There are several golf courses in Park City and the surrounding area, each with stunning mountain views.
Go See a Flying Ace Show at Utah Olympic Park
The Utah Olympic Park hosts the Flying Ace All-Stars Freestyle Show. Catch the high-flying action every weekend beginning mid-June with the Flying Ace All-Stars Freestyle Show. See Olympians and National Team skiers and snowboarders perform acrobatic feats as they soar up to 60 feet in the air before landing in the Park’s Spence Eccles Olympic Freestyle Pool. A great show for the whole family, this half-hour choreographed production will leave you breathless!
