June – it’s the official start of summer and, in Park City, it’s when summer events, activities, and concerts really kick-off.
Park City Farmer's Market
Each Wednesday throughout the summer and fall, Park City Mountain hosts the Park City Farmers Market. Explore local vendors’ produce, pizza, farm fresh flowers, crafts and more in the Park City Base Area parking lot!
Park Silly Sunday Market
The Park Silly Sunday Market kicks off in June, making for a fun, family-friendly afternoon on Historic Main Street every Sunday throughout the summer. Vendors at the market change every week, offering a different experience each visit. Live music, food trucks, and beverage tents cap off the fun! Using public transit, riding your bike or a Summit Bike Share e-bike is recommended. Free bike valet is available on the corner of 9th Street and Main Street, sponsored by Cole Sport.
Attend a Concert (Nearly Any Day of the Week)
Enjoy live music? In Park City, you can enjoy a show nearly every day of the week – many of which are free and outside. Check out the full Park City summer concert round-up.
Most golf courses in the Park City area are open by the beginning of June, if not earlier. June is a great time to hit the links as moderate temperatures make for comfortable golfing. There are seven public and eight private golf courses in Park City and the surrounding area, each with stunning mountain views.
Attend a Flying Ace Show at Utah Olympic Park
Starting at the end of June, Utah Olympic Park hosts the Flying Ace All-Stars Freestyle Show every Saturday and Sunday at 1:00 PM. Watch as skiers and snowboarders show off their acrobatic skills as they launch off jumps and soar through the air before landing in the Spence Eccles Olympic Freestyle Pool. It’s a show you’ll want to add to your Park City summer bucket list.
Free Women's Group Rides
Join White Pine Touring/JANS Outfitters for one of their free women’s-specific group rides. This summer, on Monday evenings at 5:45 PM, women’s road rides start from the JANS flagship store on Park Avenue before exploring area roads for a two hour, fun and low-key guided ride. Bike rentals for this event are available for $15.00 (depending on availability).
On Tuesdays throughout the summer, White Pine Touring hosts their Team Sugar mountain bike rides – a women’s-only group ride. Riders are divided into various groups based on skill level before hitting the trails for two hours. Groups depart from White Pine Touring at 6:00 PM.
Enjoy Area Dining Options
Taco Tuesday? Half-off sushi rolls? Burger night at Handle? Summer is not only the perfect time to dine al fresco in the fresh mountain air, but it’s also a great time to take advantage of “locals specials” offered by area restaurants. Explore your options!
