Face mask regulations in Park City Resorts
Due to the continued improvement of COVID-19 cases, none of the Park City area ski resorts will require masks to be worn outdoors or indoors this season. This also extends to all of Park City's public transit.
Park City Mountain Parking Changes
While you won't have to make any reservations to be on the mountain this year, Park City Mountain will now require reservations for parking at the Mountain Village base area. These changes are an effort to more efficiently manage parking and relieve congestion in the Mountain Village base area and adjacent neighborhoods.
Reservations are $25 and are required seven days a week until 1:00 p.m. After 1:00, all parking is free and does not require reservations. However, parking is free for those who carpool with four or more people in a car. You can also still park free of charge at the Canyons Village base area.
However, we are fortunate to have a free public transportation system here in Park City. Numerous park-and-ride locations throughout town make access to the mountain stress-free and straightforward. For more information, including bus schedules, routes, and more, visit the city website and the High Valley Transit page to find the route that will work best for you.
Deer Valley Parking
Deer Valley will continue to offer complimentary parking for the 2022/23 season. Moreover, guests arriving in a vehicle with three or more will be allowed to park in Lot 2 on busy holidays and weekends.
Childcare is Available at Deer Valley
On-mountain childcare will be available this season at Deer Valley, which is fantastic if you're traveling with kids who won't be skiing this season. Deer Valley child care accepts babies as young as two months up to age 12. If you're looking for in-room childcare options, Park City Sitters has an excellent reputation in town, as does Guardian Angel Childcare and Mother Goose Childcare (they also rent baby gear and will even do your grocery shopping).
Ski School is OPEN
With winter off to an incredible start of early snow, it's the perfect year to sign your kids up for ski school and improve their skills. Deer Valley and Park City will offer ski lessons to kids as young as three, and there are various options for private and group ski school days.
We recommend reserving your ski lessons as soon as possible to ensure your family gets the instruction they need!
Also, remember that while it can be tempting to put your kids into ski school every day of your vacation, that's often too much for most kids. Consider putting kids into lessons for a couple of days in the beginning and then working on the skills they learned by skiing as a family.
We are thrilled that Park City has such a promising ski season ahead! So whether you're looking for an adrenaline-filled escape or a family getaway, there's no shortage of things to do in Park City this winter.
