December - Celebrate the Holidays in Park City
Park City's holiday activities have become a real Park City tradition with the local community and visiting guests alike. There's certainly a magic in the air this time of year, and we're happy to share in the holiday spirit with visiting guests. Park City Mountain Resort welcomes Santa Claus into Park City as he and his reindeer descend the Town Lift from the top of the mountain. Guests are welcome to arrive around 5 p.m. to enjoy hot cocoa and snacks. Santa and his reindeer fly their sled full of goodies onto the Town Lift plaza around 6:15 p.m. Be one of the first 50 guests to dress up as Santa at Canyons and ski free that day. Don't miss the annual torchlight parade at Park City Mountain Resort on Christmas Eve, which is free to the public. Fireworks come early on New Year's Eve at Canyons Resort, complete with an afternoon of free concerts at the Beach and fireworks at 7:30pm. Put the kids to bed and then head up to Main St. for more New Years Eve fun.
Do you have last minute shopping for the holidays? Take time to explore more than 100 unique shops and boutiques, art galleries and specialty stores. From Indian rugs and jewelry to antique gifts and delicate linens...from designer wear and mountain apparel to new age books and fresh flowers - you'll find it all on Historic Main Street.
There aren't too many good reasons to leave our slopes, but eating is one of them, especially when you've visited a few of our 100+ restaurants. You'll find everything from fast food to the most fashionable cuisine this side of, well, anywhere. So in Park City, the challenge isn't deciding when to eat, it's deciding where.
