Enjoy a scenic horseback ride high on the south slope of the historic Soldier Hollow Valley--Venue of the 2002 winter Olympics. Our wranglers and horses will take you on a ride you'll never forget.  Enjoy views of the Wasatch Mountains, including Mount Timpanogos and Deer Creek Reservoir. We will help you step back in time and relive the old western days of horseback riding.  We have a variety of trail rides available that will suit your group or individual requests.  Come on a ride up to the Crows Nest and see some incredible views from on top of your trusty steed.

Soldier Hollow is located in Heber Valley, one of the most beautiful mountain valleys on the Wasatch Back.  Besides horseback riding,  there is an abundance of Utah adventures to choose from.  Within 10 minutes of Soldier Hollow you can golf, water ski, mountain bike, fly fish, swim in a hot spring crater, take a ride on a historic train, raft the Provo River and much much more.  Come visit and make a vacation to Heber Valley-- one you won't soon forget.  


Some things to keep in mind when making a reservation for horseback riding:                   

  • Riders must be at least 8 yrs old to participate
  • One rider per horse--No double riding
  • Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult
  • All rides begin with a 10-15 minute arena lesson to introduce guests to the horses
  • 230 lbs weight limit and each rider must be physically able to mount their horse unassisted
  • Please arrive 20 minutes prior to scheduled ride.
  • Please call to schedule a private ride. $100 additional for 1 rider, $25 additional each for 2 or more riders. 435-654-1655
  • Rocky Mountain Outfitters has a 72 hour cancellation policy.  If you need to cancel a reservation you must contact our office at least 72 hours prior to your scheduled reservation.  If you fail to cancel before 72 hours, you are subject to 100 percent of the charge for your reservation.  Cancellations due to weather conditions are an exception to the 72 hour cancellation policy, and are handled on an individual basis.  For questions about this, please contact our office.

Crows Nest Ride (approx. 1.5 hours) $125 per person

  •  Rides depart at 9:00 am and 1:30 pm
  • Available Monday thru Saturday
  • Riders must be 8 years old to ride
  • no double riding allowed  

Mountain Meadows Ride (approx. 1 hour) $99 per person

  • Rides depart at 11:30 am and 4:00 pm
  • Available Monday thru Saturday
  • Riders must be 8 years old to ride, no double riding allowed

Sunrise Ride (Approx. 1 hour) $125 per person 

  • Rides depart at 6:30 am
  • Available Monday thru Saturday
  • Riders must be 8 years old to ride, no double riding allowed 

Sunset Ride (Approx. 1 hour) $125 per person

  • Rides depart at 6:30 pm
  • Available Monday thru Saturday
