Described as "Guy Clark meets Chris Isaak", Mountain Town brings you original songs and familiar covers that showcase the stories of The West. This clip is from a recent show at Melvin's Public House featuring Michael Louis Austin on lead guitar and our song 'This Highway Ends' (produced by The Animal Farm Music - London, UK).

This is the first song that I wrote at home after getting out the N
avy. I hope you hear the joy and happiness I get from being home. We've all been in relationships where people take advantage of us and I turned that into a nice-fella type that's with a gal too long and finally gets the courage up to split for something better. Enjoy!

Last year at this time I was getting set to come home after 8 years in the Navy. Reflecting on that period, I wanted to write a happy "Trucker - style" song with pedal steel that makes you think of western swing a little. 'Be Home Soon' was written and recorded in Park City with Corbin's pedal steel in Nashville. Mixed at McKay Studios and Mastered by Moses Mastering.

Mountain Town brings you what they call “Americana Music from Utah” with heartfelt and entertaining solo performances as well as multi-member configurations to match the venue. The sound is grounded in traditional country music with influences derived from bluegrass and roots music - yearning pedal steel with rhinestone emblazoned suits that compliment the superb storytelling of a folk singer. Band leader and composer Dr. Jon has been a performing artist for 3 decades and was also "the town dentist" in Park City, Utah (the Mountain Town) for more than 20 years. He writes about the history and the people that make up mining towns of the West.
