Park City Chamber/Bureau has two types of members. Tourism Members are businesses that provide services and products to destination visitors. Professional Services Members are businesses that provide services and products targeting residents, both full-time and seasonal, of Park City. Please review the list below to see what benefits apply to the different membership type.

Exposure on VisitParkCity.com

  • Website listing(s): Each member receives one categorical listing per membership. Listing includes business contact information. Additional category listings may be purchased at an additional charge. This information may be updated or changed at any time in the Members Only Portal.

  • Coupons/Deals: Members can post deals based on their membership category. These deals are attached to the website listing in addition to populating specific deal pages on VisitParkCity.com. Members may add this information using the Coupon functionality in the Members Only Portal.

  • Events: Members can submit events for approval through the Member Portal to be posted to the calendar of events or community calendar. Adjustments to the events may be made before being published.

Discounted Ski Passes

  • Deer Valley. Active members of the Park City Chamber and Commerce will receive the early season rate on Deer Valley Season and Locals Only passes even after the price increase deadlines have passed.   • Park City Mountain. The 2023-2024 winter season at Park City Mountain is almost here. We are excited to invite you and your employees to share another EPIC year at the largest Resort in the United States. Communications

Membership newsletters are run through Constant Contact. You may manage your email preferences and opt-out of marketing emails using the links in the footer of a recent email or by calling our member services manager at 435.658.9620.

  • Member Update: Sent twice a month, this newsletter provides information about upcoming Chamber events, member benefits, general Chamber news, departmental updates, and articles of interest to the membership and the business community.

  • Daily Occupancy Report: Sent twice a month with a link to the current report that shows the on the books occupancy for the next 60 days. It also compares the current booked occupancy rate to the same time last year and shows the actual occupancy rate by day.

  • Business Intelligence Report: Sent out monthly, this e-newsletter provides business owners and managers with updates on business trends and news along with strategies and tips for running their business more effectively.

  • Legislative Update: Sent weekly the annual legislative session in January, February, and March. This email contains information about proposed bills of importance to the business community.

Women's Business Center

The purpose of the Park City Virtual Women’s Business Center is to provide women business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs resources and training they need to grow their businesses or start new ones. Women business owners face unique challenges; the most important being balancing family with a business. The Park City Chamber has partnered with the Women’s Business Center of Utah to offer female-focused entrepreneurial resources and support to help you grow your business and have a happy family through the Virtual Women's Business Center.

Share Park City

Share Park City is a hospitality-based training program geared towards employees who interact with visitors on a day-to-day basis. The program consists of five educational videos which aim to provide employees with greater knowledge of the Park City area and the tools to create a better guest experience. SCORE

SCORE’s mission is to foster vibrant small business communities through mentoring and education. With the nation’s largest network of volunteer, expert business mentors, SCORE has helped more than 11 million entrepreneurs since 1964. Park City Chamber/Bureau members have access to SCORE's mentoring program, free webinars and courses and online resource gallery for templates, guides, infographics and more.

Referrals

  • Visitor Information Centers: The Park City Chamber / Bureau staff manages the Visitor Information Center at 1794 Olympic Parkway Boulevard, directly off of Highway 224 at Kimball Junction. Members are encouraged to bring business cards to be displayed in the racks. There are also opportunities to purchase display space in the center.

  • Enhancing Your Business’s Online Presence on Google: The Park City Chamber/Bureau wants all of its members to be easily found on Google Search by existing and potential customers. 97% of consumers look online for local goods and services. The Chamber/Bureau has partnered with Google to ensure you maximize your online presence and exposure there. How do you get started? Go to www.gybo.com to check how your business shows up on Google. Type in your business name. Add your business for free if it isn't on the list. Submit a request to have the Chamber verify your listing in person. Manage your business information, including the phone number, address, and hours of operation. On an ongoing basis, keep your business information up-to-date. This includes managing reviews, adding photos, updating your information, and more.

  • Direct Referrals: The Park City Chamber / Bureau's administrative and Visitor Center staff handles email, phone, and in-person inquiries, directing guests to appropriate Chamber/Bureau members. Every staff member acts as a salesperson for our membership when recommending services, properties, shops, restaurants, and more.

  • Membership Mailing List: As a member benefit, the Park City Chamber & Visitor Bureau (PCCVB) offers our Membership Mailing List at no charge to current Chamber/Bureau member businesses in good standing. To request a list please fill out the Membership Mailing List Request & Data Use Agreement. The PCCVB does not provide email addresses or contact information for individuals. Please allow 5-10 business days for receipt of the Membership Mailing list. Additional processing time may be required for specific lists. Be prepared to submit a copy of your mailer for review if requested.

Government Affairs

  • Government Lobbying: The Chamber/Bureau represents its membership to Park City Municipal Corporation, Summit County and the Utah State Legislature on issues of importance.

  • Weekly Utah legislative updates: The Chamber/Bureau sends weekly updates to its members during the annual legislative session in January, February and March on issues of importance to the membership. Subscribe to the Legislative Update.

Get Involved (Varies by Member Type)

  • Advisory Committees: Chamber/Bureau members have the opportunity to participate on committees that play significant roles in directing Chamber/Bureau marketing efforts. The Chamber/Bureau Board of Directors and Executive Committee select members for these committees based on the level of expertise in the areas of tour & travel, leisure, public relations, meetings/conventions, and international marketing.

  • Board of Directors: The Board, numbering 22 voting members, sets the policies for the Chamber/Bureau. Board members are elected by the membership for three-year terms. Requirements include a.) the company the board member works with must be a full member of the Chamber/Bureau, b.) the membership must be in good standing, c.) the candidate must be willing to attend a monthly meeting of two hours’ duration (3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month) and to embrace the responsibility of overseeing the organization and representing its membership. Applications for open Board positions are mailed to full members in early April of each year, and terms begin with the start of the fiscal year on July 1.

Professional Development

  • Educational Seminars: The Chamber/Bureau conducts regularly-scheduled educational seminars for its members on a variety of topics. The seminars are generally conducted on-site at the Chamber/Bureau office in Park City. As is the case with the webinars, the topics vary and aim to benefit the business community and members. Topics have included an introduction to the Chamber/Bureau and member benefits; credit card and check fraud; healthcare reform; and what social media platforms are the best for different types of businesses.

  • Webinars: The Chamber/Bureau conducts regularly-scheduled webinars for its membership. The topics vary and aim to benefit the business community and members. Past topics have included how to maximize your Chamber/Bureau membership; how to most effectively utilize various social media platforms; SEO (Search Engine Optimization); and health/wellness-related topics.

  • Speakers: The Chamber/Bureau features a number of professional speakers at its events throughout the year, covering a variety of topics.

  • Tools For Business Success – This is a service purchased by the Chamber/Bureau for the benefit of its members. It is a “one-stop online shop” for Chamber/Bureau members, with local, state, federal, and best-of-web resources on a wide variety of topics pertinent to all types of businesses. This valuable member benefit is located on the Chamber/Bureau website in the “Member & Business Resources” section.
