What Can Planners Expect for Meetings & Events in Park City?

Visit Park City and our community is committed to keeping the health and safety of everyone—both residents and visitors alike—our top priority as we continue getting back to business and ready to host your next meeting or event.

According to Utah’s COVID-19 Transmission Index, transmission levels are categorized as High, Moderate, and Low and vary from county to county based on public health metrics. Summit County, where Park City is located, is currently in the High Level of Transmission.

The Park City Chamber/Bureau partnered with the Salt Lake City Chamber and Utah Department of Health on a program that encourages businesses to Stay Safe to Stay Open by taking a pledge that focuses on following best health and safety practices.

Park City’s restaurants, hotels, attractions, and recreational areas are open and continue to follow guidance from the CDC, local, state, and tourism authorities.

Resources for Organized Events

Organizers of in-person events may choose to adopt the following recommendations to ensure the health and safety of attendees. Consider using an Event Management Template for contact tracing purposes if COVID-19 cases are identified at the event. Local businesses may post signage listing COVID-19 symptoms, asking employees and customers with symptoms to stay home, and face mask or physical distancing recommendations.

Masks Not Required, But Still Recommended

Utah has lifted its public health order mandating the use of face masks. Summit County still recommends masks be worn in crowded, indoor spaces, where physical distancing is not possible.

Utah is currently not under a statewide mask mandate, however, some local businesses are still requesting their customers and guests wear a mask.

Even though Utah has lifted its public health order mandating the use of face masks, it is still important that we all continue to follow best practices when it comes to preventing the spread of COVID-19.
