Overview

Women’s Ski Jumping USA is a 501c3 non-profit organization incorporated in Park City, Utah. Created in 2003 to operationally support U.S. women nordic ski jumpers, WSJ-USA also promotes the sport for women internationally by interacting with National Governing Bodies (NGB’s) and the International Ski Federation (FIS). WSJ-USA financially supports the VISA Women's Ski Jumping Team and fosters development level athletes throughout the United States. The foundation pays for international travel, equipment, training and coaching costs. WSJ-USA has been the principle organizer for women’s ski jumping competitions in the U.S., coordinating FIS Continental Cup competitions annually since 2004. It is a primary goal of Women’s Ski Jumping USA to have women nordic ski jumpers worldwide recognized for their accomplishments and be allowed to compete in the Olympic Winter Games. In April 2011, the International Olympic Committee finally added a women's ski jumping event (normal hill) to the Olympic Winter Games program beginning in Sochi, Russia 2014. Support for Women’s Ski Jumping USA comes from corporate sponsors, grants, and private donations. WSJ-USA is operated primarily by volunteers. The current President of Women’s Ski Jumping USA is Deedee Corradini, former mayor of Salt Lake City, Utah.
