Park City’s Historic Main Street is filled with great shops, restaurants, and bars to explore. Jeff Williams

Though Park City, Utah, is known for its luxurious accommodations and world-class skiing, deals abound here in the quieter summer season. And for many who’ve relocated to this mountain town, Park City summers are the area’s best-kept secret. Cooler mountain temperatures make it a wonderful place to explore when the Salt Lake Valley temperatures soar, and there are plenty of free and inexpensive activities throughout town for visitors on a budget. Add these nine adventures to your Park City bucket list, and don’t worry about price, most won’t cost you a dime.

With so many activities to try, and fun to be had, there was no other choice than to bring back our Park City First Timers series for another season. This time around we added a little twist, as the entire Page family — Cori, Jon, Emma, Milo, Pearl and Ansel — will be our hosts for four action-packed episodes. Proving that a family that plays together stays together.

It is difficult to believe that it's already February - where has the time gone? Hopefully your New Year's resolutions are now routine and you're feeling more at ease with it being 2018. Lucky for us, there is still plenty of winter left to enjoy and there are so many ways to experience Park City, Utah. While the activities and events happening in February are seemingly endless, we have a few ideas for you to consider:

During the finale of the Park City First Timers summer series, Ryan takes to the sky with Park City Balloon Adventures for a hot air balloon adventure to remember.

Park City's oldest, family-owned hot air balloon company, Park City Balloon Adventures offers year-round balloon flights in Park City and Summit County areas. The unique experience, laden with fun hot air ballooning tradition, offers guests a bird’s eye view of the area’s natural beauty.

The kids may be back at school, but there isn’t a better time to get them hooked on fly fishing than during the Fall -- when Park City’s blue-ribbon waters are framed by hues of oranges, yellows, reds and golds in one of the most magnificent displays of fall foliage anywhere in the Western United States.
