It is difficult to believe that it's already February - where has the time gone? Hopefully your New Year's resolutions are now routine and you're feeling more at ease with it being 2018. Lucky for us, there is still plenty of winter left to enjoy and there are so many ways to experience Park City, Utah. While the activities and events happening in February are seemingly endless, we have a few ideas for you to consider:

 

ATTEND A LIVE PERFORMANCE OR LECTURE AT ECCLES CENTER

Park City Institute's February lineup includes performers Lyle Lovett with Robert Earl Keen, author Anne Lamott, Dar Williams, and more. SING ALONG WITH A SHOW AT THE EGYPTIAN THEATRE

With the new month comes a myriad of shows at the Egyptian Theatre. Starting on February 1, the Drifters will take the stage - you likely know a few of their hits - "Stand by Me" and "Under the Boardwalk" to name just a couple. The Drifters are followed by Howard Jones on the 8th, Chubby Checker and the Wildcats the weekend of the 15th, and Paula Cole February 22-24. TRY NORDIC SKIING

Looking for a work out and way to explore Park City off the slopes? Give Nordic skiing a try! Not only is it a great way to work up a sweat, but it's also a fun way to take in the area's beautiful mountain scenery. Head to White Pine Touring at the Park City Municipal Golf Course for more mellow terrain with gradual hills, or to Round Valley for expansive views and access to free trails. Basin Recreation grooms 25 kilometers of free trails that meander through Willow Creek Park and the Utah Olympic Park area. Prefer to get out of town and into the woods? Schedule a guided ski tour or try the Beaver Creek Ski Trail in the Uinta Mountains, which is just past Kamas on Mirror Lake Highway. Need equipment rentals? TAKE A SNOWSHOE TOUR OF SWANER PRESERVE AND ECOCENTER

Take a snowshoe tour of the Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter and learn about the preserve's history, and the types of plants and animals you may spot during the winter months in Park City. Search for animal tracks and explore the beautiful open space with stunning mountain views. Snowshoe tours are suitable for all ages and snowshoes may be rented from the EcoCenter. ATTEND A PARK CITY FILM SERIES SCREENING

Known for hosting the Sundance Film Festival, Park City, Utah supports the film scene year-round. Park City Film Series, a local non-profit organization, is an avid promoter of independent feature, documentary, world and local cinema. The Park City Film Series offers weekly screenings representing a wide range of genres, and some screenings are even free to the public. February's film schedule includes I, Tonya, Belle and Sebastian (free), Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, and others that you won't want to miss. Learn more and explore the full schedule.

 

ENJOY VALENTINE'S DAY DINNER AT A PARK CITY RESTAURANT

What's more romantic than Valentine's Day spent in the mountains? A day on the slopes and some time at the spa before dinner out on the town - you can't beat it! There are many Park City area restaurants offering Valentine's Day specials. Choose between three or four-course prix fixe menus or, if you prefer, snag a reservation at your favorite Park City restaurant. After all, they say the way to someone's heart is through their stomach.

 

GIVE PARK CITY MOUNTAIN'S SEVEN SUMMITS CHALLENGE A TRY

Think you have what it takes to summit all seven of Park City Mountain's peaks in one day? A new addition to Park City Mountain's event calendar, the Seven Summits Challenge is a fun way to explore all 7,300 acres of the resort - end-to-end. GO ICE SKATING

A fun activity for the whole family, ice skating is the perfect way to wind down from a day on the slopes. Skate outside under a string of lights at the Resort Center Ice Skating Rink, which is located at the Park City Base Area, open 11:00 AM-7:00 PM daily, and offers skate rentals. Or, head indoors to the Park City Ice Arena, located in Quinn's Junction, where public skate hours are plentiful and vary throughout the week.
