This week in Park City features a three-day weekend packed full of excitement - a sheepdog championship and festival, an endurance bike race, and an abundance of Labor Day festivities! On Monday, September 7 the nation will celebrate Labor Day while Park City, UT joins together for its 118th Miner's Day on Historic Main Street. The annual gathering celebrates the town's mining heritage and helps raise money for Summit County's non-profit organizations.
Soldier Hollow Classic Sheepdog Championship & Festival

An ongoing Labor Day Weekend tradition, Soldier Hollow's Classic Sheepdog Championship and Festival brings competitors and their sheepdogs (border collies) from all over the world to test themselves against the legendary Rocky Mountain range ewes of Utah. A site to be seen, the event starts on Soldier Hollow's competition hillside, and the dogs go to work luring and organizing the sheep. The weekend's list of activities is extensive and includes events such as a Splash Dogs competition, an Exotic Animal Show, and a Dog Agility Demo. Watch on as you enjoy some of Utah's best fair food!
Park City Point 2 Point

Where: Park City's mountain bike trails
An impressive feat indeed, the Park City Point 2 Point attracts the country's strongest endurance mountain biker for the 75 mile race. Roughly 90% of the race course follows Park City's pristine single-track trails, as riders gain a grueling 12,000 feet in elevation and, get this, never cover the same trail twice! The race course takes riders through Silver Lake at Deer Valley Resort, into the base are of Park City Mountain, and finishes at Canyons Villages, so there is plenty of opportunity to spectate. And hey, if you're feeling up for it, there are always are few last minute opportunities to enter the race.

Do you love a good laugh? How about supporting a great cause while enjoying a great night of comedy? The People's Health Clinic, a clinic dedicated to providing low-cost health services in the Park City area, will host comedians Dom Irrera, James P. Connolly, and Frances Dilorinzo for an evening of Healthy Laughs at Montage Deer Valley. Miner's Day Parade and Celebration

Where: Historic Main Street and City Park
Where to begin... Park City Miner's Day Celebration welcomes more fun than you could imagine. The day starts in City Park with a community breakfast at 7:30 AM. The world famous Running of the Balls, which is sponsored by Park City Rotarians and benefits other charity projects, kicks off at 10:45 AM, followed immediately by the Miner's Day Parade at 11:00 AM on Historic Main Street. Upon the parade's conclusion, head to City Park for an afternoon of live music, delicious BBQ, and the ever-famous Mucking and Drilling competition.
