Mid-Mountain Marathon
Saturday, September 12 8:00 AM start time
Where: Mid-Mountain Trail, start in Silver Lake, Deer Valley
The marathon, presented by Salomon, covers 26.2 miles of Park City's pristine single-track on Mid-Mountain trail. Starting at Silver Lake, Deer Valley, the race hovers at around 8,000 ft. in elevation before descending into Canyons Village.  The event is the last of the "Triple Trail Challenge," a 3-stage race that also included Jupiter Peak Steeplechase and the Park City Marathon.   Mid-mountain trail serves as a connector to many of Park City's trails, allowing for many cheering locations! Hike for Hunger

Where: Deer Valley's Snow Park Lodge Plaza
It doesn't get much better than hiking with friends before enjoying food, beer, wine, and live music, all while supporting a great cause.  The Christian Center's annual "Hike for Hunger" is a fun, non-competitive, family-friendly event that helps raise awareness about the community's hunger issues.  This year's event features new hike options on new trails, live music from Bonanza Town, and beer from Park City Brewery.  For those who aren't interested in hiking, taking a round-trip ride on the Silver Lake Express chairlift is always an option!  For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the event website.

Utah Olympic Park Slip 'n Soar
When: Saturday, September 12 from 12:00-5:00 PM
Where: Utah Olympic Park
Utah Olympic Park is excited to introduce the world's steepest slip ‘n slide party... It's guaranteed to be as fun as it sounds!  Enjoy the final days of summer by slipping and sliding down the single and mini water ramps into the Spence Eccles Olympic Freestyle Pool.  The party will also include music, food, drinks, and, for those feeling particularly adventurous, the opportunity to try out the Psicobloc climbing wall.  There will also be summer lawn games including Bubble Ball Soccer.  Tickets are $50 (age 13+) and include unlimited slip and slide, open water climbing, bubble soccer, corn-hole, ping pong, and rides on the mechanical bull.  To get excited, check out a preview of the slip ‘n slide here. Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® Park City

Grab your heels, and head to the gazebo in City Park for the Peace House's third annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes.  The event aims to bring the community together in a light-hearted manner to help raise awareness of domestic violence.  The Park City event is part of a greater global movement raising funds to assist in ending violence against women.  Join the men and women of the community as they walk a mile around Park City in high-heeled shoes - after all, "nothing speaks to understanding more than walking in someone else's shoes..." Learn to Curl

The ice is ready for some curling fun as the 2015-16 season approaches.  Head to the Park City Ice Arena on Monday, September 14, to meet the Park City Curling Club for their Learn to Curl event from 8:00-10:00 PM.  This is a great opportunity for those who have never tried the sport to have some fun and if they like it - join a team!
