It's hard to believe that we're already counting down the days until ski season (100 days today, to be exact)! That said, summer continues to deliver more activity opportunities than we have time.  This week in Park City features events that are sure to remind you that it's still summer!

Deer Valley Music Festival- Diana Krall with the Utah Symphony
When: August 14, 7:30 PM
Where: Deer Valley Resort's Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater
The ageless Diana Krall joins the Utah Symphony on Friday, August 14 at 7:30 PM for a soulful performance at Deer Valley Resort's Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater.  The combination of the Utah Symphony and Krall is sure to delight the audience with their pop classics, jazz standards, and some of Krall's new material from her recently released album, Wallflower.  Bring your picnic baskets, favorite beverage, your blanket and a sweater - it's bound to be an entertaining, fun night! Get there early as gates open at 5:30 PM, and space tends to fill up quickly.

Park City Half Marathon & 5K
When: August 15, 8:00 AM start time
Where: Start and finish at Newpark
Join the competition or cheer on participants during this year's Park City Half Marathon and 5K run.  The half marathon will loop runners through some of Park City's open space and quiet neighborhoods along the McLeod Creek path.  The route, which covers a combination of paved and dirt trails, sends runners over the creek on beautiful plank bridges and through aspen stands. This year's course is a loop rather than an out and back as seen in previous years. The 5k course is an out and back from Newpark Town Center. *Registration closes today (August 13) at 5:00 PM.
