Where to go Holiday Shopping in Park City

If you’re looking for a unique and special gift for someone on your holiday list, you can’t go wrong with shopping on Park City’s Main Street. You’ll find a variety of small shops and boutiques that are sure to please that any special person on your list. After November 30, the downtown area will be lit up and decorated, so shopping in the evening is extra magical. With no shortage of wonderful places to eat, Main Street is the perfect place to spend a festive night out. Don't forget about the Outlets of Park City for great shopping and deals on brands like Levis, Vans, Columbia, and more! 

The North Pole Express at Heber Valley Railroad

November 23-December 23

ALL ABOARD!  Jump on the Heber Valley Railroad for their special North Pole Express train ride.  The trip is 90 minutes total and all passengers get hot cocoa, cookies, a souvenir ticket, and a special gift from Santa.  Live entertainment is provided all along the route. Book your spot soon as tickets go fast! 

Tree Lighting Ceremony and Fireworks

November 24, 3 - 6 p.m., Canyons Village

Kick-off the Christmas season right with the 7th annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at Canyons Village. It’s a great event for the whole family with live music, craft sales, and fireworks to top it off. Of course, Santa will be available for photos and to chat with kids young and old who just can’t wait any longer to share their Christmas wishes with him.

Electric Parade and Festivities 

Dates and times TBD, Historic Main Street

The Park City Electric Parade is the town fun and festive holiday parade. Come enjoy the evening as community members and businesses decorate their cars and floats with Christmas lights and of course, lots of holiday music. The festivities start at 4 pm with Santa strolling Main Street, followed by the lighting of the Christmas Tree in Miner’s Park and the Main Street lights at 5:30 pm. From 5:30-7:30 there will also be carolers along Historic Main street. 

Main Street Snow Globe Stroll

November 22 - January 5, Historic Main Street

The Snow Globe Stroll featuring seven life-size snow globes returns to Main Street in 2023. Each themed around different holiday songs including “Last Christmas,” “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” “Frosty the Snowman,” “Winter Wonderland,” “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” “Let It Snow!,” and “Happy Holiday.” Passersby can enjoy festive Historic Park City holiday decorations including Santa’s mailbox and the Main Street Christmas tree. Park City Holiday Spectacular Sing-a-long!

December 8 - 17, 8 p.m., Egyptian Theater

This show is one of Park City’s most beloved family holiday traditions. The Park City Holiday Spectacular features a variety of local performers and talent at this sing-along show. The Sing-A-Long is the perfect way to belt out your holiday cheer with the entire family. Advance tickets are recommended and are available from the Egyptian Theater

Kurt Bestor at The Egyptian Theater

December 21 - 24, 8 p.m., Egyptian Theater

Enjoy traditional holiday favorites from the Emmy-Award winning composer Kurt Bestor. This performance includes Christmas favorites as well as Kurt's original music. Tickets can be purchased at The Egyptian

Santa Comes Down Town Lift

December 17, 5:30 p.m., Town Lift Plaza

Don't miss Santa's annual ride down the Town Lift with his magical sleigh all lit up on December 17th. A great event to get the whole family extra excited about Christmas and to share in the holiday cheer with the entire community. Afterward, enjoy a magical stroll through downtown Park City as it’s decorated for Christmas with incredible holiday lights.

Park City Mountain Torchlight Parade

December 24, Dusk

Come enjoy the 57th annual Torchlight Parade at Park City Mountain Resort. This traditional celebration lights up the mountain as Park City Staff ski down the mountain in formation with giant flares.

Deer Valley's Annual Torchlight Parade

December 30, 5:30 p.m., Deer Valley Resort

Come enjoy the annual Deer Valley Torchlight Parade at dusk. Up to 100 skiers will be skiing down the Big Stick Run with flares and even some lit up costumes. It’s a great way to start saying goodbye to 2023 that the whole family will enjoy. This event starts at dusk and includes complimentary hot cider and cookies at the Snow Park Plaza.

Christmas and New Years Dinner Specials 

Choose from a variety of Park City area restaurants to celebrate the holidays with. From black-tie soirees to 4, 5, and 7-course prix-fixe menus, you will leave with a full heart and full stomach.

New Years Eve at Park City Mountain 

December 31, 3 p.m., Canyons Village

Celebrate 2024 with the whole family at Park City Mountain's New Years Eve Celebration! Park City Mountain is celebrating the New Year in style at Canyons Village with live music, fireworks and sweet treats! After your day on the slopes, ring in the New Year early with us. They’ll have DJ Velvet playing tunes in the Village from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. followed by a live performance from The Coverdogs at 5:30 p.m. Fireworks go off at 7:30 p.m. and don't miss complimentary cookies and hot cocoa while supplies last. Free and open to the public!
