As 2017 kicks off (with two feet of snow and more on the way!) it is the perfect time to both celebrate and reflect on the beauty of 2016 and the happiness, adventure, and new experiences that it brought to Park City. Here are a few of our favorite Park City moments from 2016:

JANUARY 21-31, 2016:
We welcomed independent filmmakers, actors, directors, critics, and fans to Park City for the 2016 Sundance Film Festival (46,660 people from 42 states and 16 different countries to be precise).  Park City radiated with lights, energy, and creativity, and will do so again this January 19-20, 2017 when the festival returns.

JANUARY 22, 2016:
Park City was chosen as one of the “16 Top Destinations for 2016” by Forbes Travel Guide.

APRIL 6-8, 2016:
The first inaugural Thin Air Innovation Festival kicked off for a three day period of innovation, inspiration, and celebration. It was the perfect end to a wonderful ski season and we look forward to another great festival April 5-7, 2017.

JUNE 2016:
Summer started off with picturesque weather and green scenery for locals and visitors alike to get outside and enjoy.

JULY 2016:
Park City, Utah was named the Best Adventure Town as part of the Sunset Magazine Travel Awards.

AUGUST 7, 2016:
Park City's Historic Main Street served as the host for the final stage of the 2016 Tour of Utah. Australian Lachlan Morton won the seven-stage cycling race.

SEPTEMBER 23, 2016:
Park City saw its first snowfall of the 2016-2017 winter season.

OCTOBER 22, 2016:
In celebration of Wasatch Brewery’s 30th Anniversary, the world record for longest continual shot-ski was broken along Park City’s Historic Main Street.

DECEMBER 1, 2016:
Historic Main Street debuted it’s new, efficient Trolley with a clean-burning diesel engine.
