‘Tis the season for lights, holiday traditions, cheer, and spending time with family and friends.  From torchlight parades to visits with Santa Claus, holiday markets to a performance of the Nutcracker, there are so many ways to celebrate the holiday season in Park City, Utah.  

GIVING TREE FESTIVAL
When:
November 18-December 3
Where: Throughout Park City
An annual auction of meticulously decorated holiday trees, the Giving Tree Festival, presented by the Park City Rotary Club, benefits non-profits throughout Summit County.  Visit all fifteen trees throughout town, stamp this map at each location, and enter to win a Park City weekend getaway and $500 cash card.  It’s a great family-friendly way to support the community, explore town, and get into the holiday spirit.

ELECTRIC PARADE AND HOLIDAY FESTIVITIES
When:
Saturday, November 26 from 4:00-6:00 PM
Where: Historic Main Street
An extravagant display, the Electric Parade features a variety of vehicles (bicycles, too!) lit up with Christmas lights. Prefer to be a part of the action rather than spectate? While there is no cost to participate in the parade, registration is required.  Don’t miss the additional holiday activities prior to the parade.

PARK SILLY HOLIDAY BAZAAR
When:
December 9-11
Where: Park City Marriott
Hosted by the Park Silly Sunday Market, which lines Historic Main Street each Sunday throughout the summer, the Park Silly Holiday Bazaar features a variety of vendors and is sure to get you and your family into the holiday spirit. Entrance to this festive indoor market is free.

PARK CITY NUTCRACKER
When:
December 11, 2:00 PM and 5:30 PM
Where: Eccles Center
Park City’s Ballet West Academy presents a holiday classic, the Nutcracker.  An abbreviated, family-friendly version, Ballet West’s rendition features all of the Nutcracker favorites we know and love, like dancing snowflakes, battling mice, and, of course, dancing dolls.

PARK CITY HOLIDAY SPECTACULAR AND SING-ALONG
When:
December 15-18
Where: Egyptian Theatre
A special family tradition, the Park City Holiday Spectacular is the perfect way to celebrate the holiday season.  Presented by the Egyptian Theatre on Historic Main Street, the show features local talent and is sure to inspire you to sing along.

SANTA COMES DOWN TOWN LIFT
When:
December 17 at 5:30 PM
Where: Town Lift Plaza
Get your picture taken with the one-and-only Santa Claus after he arrives to Historic Main Street via Park City Mountain Resort’s Town Lift with his sleigh.  There’s no better way to get excited about the holiday season than with a visit from Santa.

DECEMBERFEST

A 16-day festival hosted by Park City Mountain Resort, Decemberfest includes village entertainers, après-ski music, and other holiday-inspired events around the resort.

SANTA CLAUS VISITS DEER VALLEY RESORT

Where: Deer Valley Resort  
Santa Claus will visit Deer Valley Resort for Christmas Eve Day.  Say hello, snag a photo with him, and celebrate the holiday on the slopes.

CHRISTMAS EVE TORCHLIGHT PARADE
When:
December 24 at 5:30 PM
Where: Park City Mountain Resort
A tradition as old as the resort itself – 54 years old this year – the Christmas Eve Torchlight parade will again be held on Park City Mountain Resort’s Pay Day ski run. Head to the Park City Base Area prior to the spectacular light show for holiday music and cheer.  Free for everyone, this is a perfect way to spend Christmas Eve with your family.

TORCHLIGHT PARADE AT DEER VALLEY RESORT

December 30 at around 6:00 PM
Where: Deer Valley Resort
A Deer Valley Resort holiday tradition, take in the magic as the slopes glow with light while as you sip on complimentary hot cider and enjoy cookies at Snow Park Lodge. Colorful skiers parade their way down the Big Stick ski run on the resort’s Bald Eagle Mountain.

NEW YEAR’S EVE CELEBRATION AND FIREWORKS

What’s a New Year’s Eve celebration without fireworks?  Fun for the entire family, Park City Mountain Resort’s New Year’s Eve celebration will include live entertainment and music in addition to its impressive fireworks show at Canyons Village.
