Fall is a wonderful time of year for many reasons – it’s beautiful, the air is crisp, and it’s a sure sign that winter is on its way.  It’s also a great opportunity to indulge in the rich flavors of fall – pumpkin, spice, and everything nice.  The saying rings true for the local beers, too.  Be sure to fully embrace the season’s flavors and try one (or all!) of these Park City area fall brews:

It’s commonly understood that mountain biking and beer go hand-in-hand. Who doesn’t love an ice cold one after a mountain bike ride in the summer sun?  One of Park City’s local breweries, Squatters, even named one of their beers “Full Suspension” in ode to mountain biking, noting that it “really smooths out the bumps.”  There are quite a few Park City restaurants and breweries that are conveniently located at trailheads all over town.  We have a few post-ride recommendations for after you explore one of Park City’s classic mountain bike trails.

The hills are alive with the sound of music all summer long in Park City, UT. In fact, you can easily find an outdoor concert on most every evening of the week, and many of them are free. Park City’s outdoor concerts are perfect for date night, or a great way to enjoy an evening with your family and friends. And to make it even more memorable, try pairing the evening with a picnic packed with some of Park City’s favorites.

It's time to Sundance! On Thursday, January 21 Sundance Film Festival opens in Park City, as well as in Salt Lake City and Ogden, UT. This year, we expect over 40,000 festival-goers, filmmakers and celebrities to descend on our tiny mountain town for the 10-day festival.  While we welcome the crowds, it does make for some logistical challenges - especially when it comes to snagging a hard-to-get dinner reservation. I often joke that it's sometimes easier to score a ticket to a Sundance premiere than to get a table at your favorite Main Street restaurant. But with a little advance planning and flexibility, it can be done. Here are some tips to dine your way around the Sundance Film Festival:

Skiing makes you hungry, and it's always fun to grab a quick bite on the mountain. On-mountain dining is convenient, allows for a quick and easy return to the slopes, and you can't beat the views and ambiance.  Sure, we are always going have our favorite ski day lunch spots, but don't miss out on these four new additions to the Deer Valley Resort and Park City Mountain Resort dining scenes. You might find yourself a new favorite.
