December – it’s a time to celebrate the holidays with family and friends and it also marks the true beginning of ski season. While it’s always fun to hit the slopes, especially around Christmas, there are other ways to enjoy the month of December in Park City.  With an abundance of off-slope activities to choose from, you’ll end your Park City vacation with enough memories to last a lifetime. Here are a few ideas for you to explore while trying to decide what to do in Park City this December:

The kids may be back at school, but there isn’t a better time to get them hooked on fly fishing than during the Fall -- when Park City’s blue-ribbon waters are framed by hues of oranges, yellows, reds and golds in one of the most magnificent displays of fall foliage anywhere in the Western United States.

Park City First Timers is back for summer, with a new host, and six new episodes.

In our first summer episode, our host, Ryan, and a few of his friends join Destination Sports and Adventures to raft the Weber River. They meet their guide, Trixie, in Henefer – just outside of Park City.  

Park City, Utah is known for its sunny days and bright blue skies, so the occasional rain showers are somewhat unexpected and can come as a surprise.  Due to the area’s reputation for having endless outdoor opportunities and activities to enjoy, it’s not always easy to come up with indoor options for when the weather turns sour. Luckily, there are plenty of ways to enjoy a rainy day in Park City.
