As it always does, summer is flying by and it’s almost time to start thinking about sending the kids back to school (yikes)! But learning doesn’t have to be just for the kids.  This is a perfect time try something new and Park City, Utah is a perfect destination to explore new horizons and ideas, learn, and, who knows, maybe even find a  new hobby. While Park City is often recognized as a world-class winter resort destination, summers here are truly magical.  Perfect temperatures, 400+ miles of easy-access trails, outdoor deck dining galore, and let us not forget the plethora of live music and outdoor concert venues.  Park City and Summit County’s live music scene is booming, and includes something for every budget (some are FREE!) and every taste. 

Hosted by the Park City Gallery Association, the Last Friday Gallery Stroll, is a fun (and free) monthly community event dedicated to highlighting artists and special exhibits at art galleries throughout town.  Park City’s art scene continues to thrive, offering a robust variety of unique art collections from local, national, and international artists. On the last Friday of each month, 19 members of the Park City Gallery Association open their doors for visitors and locals alike to enjoy light refreshments and to admire their latest art installations.

Park City, Utah, is a special place any time you visit. But there are certain events that come along each year that make it an extraordinary place to visit. Whether it’s the Torchlight Parade on Christmas Eve, the country’s most popular film festival, or a lung-burning mountain bike race, you’ll find events throughout the year that give you even more reasons to visit Park City. Here are nine annual events that keep people coming back every year.

The Sundance Film Festival kicks off on Thursday, January 19, 2017 for a ten day period of film premieres and celebrations.  This year’s festival showcases 113 feature-length films, created by independent filmmakers from across the globe.  As the United States’ largest independent film festival, filmmakers return to Park City year-after-year to share their creations for a chance at a big break and to further distribute their films.
