“I’m a sucker for nostalgia,” says Heleena Sideris of growing up in PC. The concierge, international sales and marketing leader for Park City Lodging remembers, “ice skating with my dad on the pond by Park Meadows Country Club, cruising Sundance with my disposable camera and Miner's sweatshirt (for local clout!) looking for celebrities, and during the Olympics, my parents took us to ski jumping, figure skating, even the closing ceremonies in SLC. Heaven!”

The daughter half of PC Lodging’s mother-daughter combo completed environmental studies at the University of Oregon and lived in the Costa Rican cloud forest with a sustainability-based teaching program. “It reminded me of Park City, a pristine ecosystem dealing with global tourism,” she says. “I also learned the value of human connections, which keeps me grounded in my hospitality work.”

Rhonda’s sustainability passions inspired her to join her mom Rhonda in creating the company’s green building headquarters in 2016. ”It’s rare to find a strong and driven female mentor who is caring and supportive. She treats the staff like family.”

“It is heartening that we have stuck to our roots,” she says of today’s Park City. “I still see friends and neighbors around town, and people look you in the eye with a smile, we still have spectacular trails and world-class skiing, a real ‘choose your adventure’ town.”

As for Heleena’s adventures, “I am OBSESSED with food,” she laughs. “Cooking, eating, talking about food. The best part of my concierge work is reading restaurant menus.” You may spot her on the trails with rescued “cattle dog/hound/pit mix and the apple of my eye, Maebe” or on the Recycle Utah and Utah Open Lands boards. “My dream is implementing co-remediation for soil cleanup. Mushrooms to the rescue.”

We love having families like the Sideris’ as Chamber partners, making a positive PC difference. Keep them in mind for your next out-of-town guests.
