“I remember thinking the gondola was cool,” is how Bo Pitkin of Luxury Park City Rentals recalls his child’s-eye view of PC in 1980, visiting with his ski-racing family from western New York. Bo couldn’t know his future spouse Allison was also traveling here from Tennessee to ski  Deer Valley with her family. Unknown to each other, the pair found their way here years later, Bo tuning skis at Cole Sports and patrolling PCMR while Allison was a lifty at Deer Valley during the Olympics. They finally met at the 4th of July parade in 2004, building their first home in Old Town in 2006.

“We rented it out to help cover the expense, and when we sold, the new owners asked us to continue managing it,” Bo recalls. Luxury Park City Rentals was born. “Every year, we would pick up another home,” Bo says. With his builder’s license and Allison’s flair for design, the couple offers beautifully maintained and appointed homes as perfect vacation spots.

As business grew, so did their family and community ties. Bo has served with the WALC bond committee, Friends of the Rail Trail, Habitat for Humanity, PC Area Homebuilders, and is a Park City Leadership alum (Class of 14). He and Allison are members of the Park City Lodging Association, Ski Utah, and the Park City Community Church. Allison loves her involvement in their sons’ education, Bo says. “She is a room mom for all three, a member of the McPolin Elementary PTO and chairs a school council.”

Graduates of Penn State and Georgia, respectively, he and Allison still root for the Nittany Lions, Bulldogs, and, naturally, the Buffalo Bills.”

“My grandfather coached football,” Bo recalls, “He would point his broken football finger and tell me to ‘Always learn, love, laugh and live.’ We can do all four every day in Park City.”
