Egyptian TheatreMoving to PC from her native Connecticut in 2012, Egyptian Theatre Director of Operations Jenn Silva was amazed by her first view of the Theatre. “I told my Dad, ‘I'm going to work there someday,’” she recalls.

Beginning in the box office in 2013, Jenn was soon helping create images and graphics for backdrops. “As Director of Operations today, I describe my job as, “If  there's something that needs doing, I will help.’”

“I am so proud to be part of our history,” she says of her working at PC’s most iconic venue. “We have a unique space, beautiful location and an incredible, hardworking staff. It is a wonderful team helping shape beautiful memories.”

The Theatre is helping Jenn makes memories of her own. “My favorite experience was doing video design for the Wizard of Oz,” she remembers. “We did lots of green screen tricks and my dog Rocky was Toto. That will forever be his stage!”

Jenn says Park City’s smalltown feel reminds her of Connecticut, but “the grand scale of tourists and events make it even more beautiful and exciting.”  She feels at home after nine years as a Parkite, and “I understand more jokes at the Follies!” she laughs.

The Park City Follies was the Theatre’s first live show upon reopening in August. “People have been so positive and shows have mainly sold out,” she says.

With the Halloween Spooktacular by the Egyptian’s YouTheatre youth group coming up,  Jenn is loving the renewed excitement. “I’m happy to be part of it,” she says.

And we’re glad the Egyptian is part of PC. Check out their amazing shows at egyptiantheatrecompany.org
