One day in the 90s, visiting Californian Cheryl DeMarco found herself struck by the beautiful view from Olympic Park. “Not long after that, we purchased our home,” she recalls. Then, years later, an elderly relative sprung a surprise that deepened her PC connection. “He told me my great-great uncle was born in Park City and had been a silver miner in the early 1900s,” she says. “It was exciting to learn my family was part of our history.”
Raised near the Angeles National Forest, “I grew up hiking and skiing,” the President of DRE Group recalls. “My father was a civil engineer and architect, and I worked on jobs framing walls and installing plumbing.”

Her hands-on experience led to a career in architecture and professional real estate, helping Parkites find the perfect properties to buy, design, build or renovate. “I enjoy helping clients see potential and make it come to life.”
Like many who come to the Wasatch Back, Cheryl finds the lure of snow and mountain is always near. “My husband James and I met on a college ski team and first came to Utah to ski and hike,” she says. Though her calendar is always packed, “If it’s a powder day, I hit the slopes!”
“Park City is filled with people like me, passionate about outdoor adventure and community,” she observes. Among other causes, DRE Group supports Special Olympics, the Christian Center, Park City Turkey Drive, and the search for affordable housing solutions. “Being a Parkite is about supporting PC culture, local businesses, and restaurants so we can all thrive,” she believes.
Though her blend of talents is unique, Cheryl’s action-oriented civic attitude is happily typical of Park City business owners. We are proud to count DRE Group and more than 900 others among our Chamber/Bureau partners.
