The 2015 World Ski Awards took place last week in Kitzbühel, Austria and the town of Park City was well represented yet again. Stein Eriksen Lodge was awarded the distinction of "World's Best Ski Hotel" for the second consecutive year, and Deer Valley Resort defended its title as the "United States' Best Ski Resort" for the third year running.

"Stein Eriksen Lodge is honored to carry the title of World's Best and United States' Best Ski Hotel and be recognized alongside the man who helped pioneer luxury ski vacations," said Russ Olsen, CEO of Stein Eriksen Lodge. "As substantiated by our valued guests and industry peers, the lodge continues to uphold its long-held standing as the industry leader in ski hospitality."

"With benchmarks set by Deer Valley's founding visionary, Edgar Stern, and the resort's ties with Stein Eriksen and the Lodge which bears his name, it's no wonder that this luxury offering we have built continues to set the standard when it comes to ski vacations," said Bob Wheaton, president and general manager of Deer Valley Resort. "We are honored to carry the title of United States' Best Ski Resort."

Ski legend and lodge namesake, Stein Eriksen was also honored at the ceremony, receiving an award for "Outstanding Contribution to Ski Tourism." This lifetime achievement award was bestowed on Eriksen for his outstanding work that has affected the ski industry and the Park City community.

The ranking process consisted of leading ski tourism professionals worldwide-senior executives, travel buyers, tour operators, agents and media-as well as thousands of luxury travel consumers casting votes via  and World Ski Awards' Facebook page.
