PARK CITY, UTAH (May, 2011) - As the abundant snow is melting from Park City's peaks, the community is gearing up for the longer days and warmer temperatures of the summer season.  Vacationers on any budget in search of hundreds of miles of scenic trails, arts and culture events, or a vibrant culinary scene will discover that Park City's versatile, accessible, mountain town lifestyle has something to offer everyone.

Summer Promotions

$50 Stay and Play Cash Campaign

The Stay & Play promotion offers a $50 cash card to guests booking a minimum 3-night Stay & Play accommodations package at participating area lodging properties. Registration and redemption will be similar to the Park City Chamber/Bureau's Quick START program, with online registration required prior to arrival.

Park City Ultimate Summer Vacation

An ultimate summer vacation to Park City is being awarded to one lucky family of four including round trip airfare, three nights of luxury accommodations, transportation, activity and event tickets, and a $50 American Express Gift Card for each family member. The family may choose the itinerary that best suits their interests including 1) Action & Outdoor, 2) Art, Culture & Events, or 3) Something for Everyone. Submissions are due by June 17 and voting runs from July 4 - 15, 2011, on the Park City Facebook page.

Summer Events

42nd Annual Kimball Arts Festival: August 4-7, 2011

The festival, attended annually by over 40,000 people, features more than 200 artists with work in 12 categories ranging from paintings to jewelry to sculpture and photography. The three-day festival also features visual-art exhibitions, live musical performances, cuisine-related activities, and art-focused film screenings.

Deer Valley Music Festival: July 16 - August 13, 2011

The Deer Valley® Music Festival (DVMF) is the Utah Symphony | Utah Opera's (USUO's) summer home in Park City. The 2011 Festival will be its eighth season of providing chamber music, classical, opera, and pops offerings in four venues around Park City. The Friday and Saturday evening outdoor concerts at the Deer Valley Snow Park Amphitheater are especially popular, featuring concerts by the full orchestra. Some featured concerts this year include music from the Eagles, the Von Trapp Children, and trumpeter, Chris Botti.


Park City Food & Wine Classic: July 7 - 10, 2011

The Park City Food & Wine Classic is a premier destination event where master winemakers, culinary greats, and guests gather to play, wine, and dine. Experience more than 100 food artisans, wineries, breweries, distilleries, epicurean purveyors, and locally-made products at this ultimate food and wine experience.


Big Stars Bright Nights Concert Series: July/August 2011

Featuring outdoor concerts by popular artists performing at the Deer Valley Snow Park Amphitheater. Artists to perform this summer include Rosanne Cash, Melissa Etheridge, and The Goo Goo Dolls among others.


4th Annual Savor the Summit: June 25, 2011

This is Park City's largest dinner party, offering diners at The Grande Table a unique celebration of fabulous food, drink, and live music while seated in the middle of Park City's Historic Main Street. The area's best restaurants will showcase their culinary talents in an open air community celebration kicking off the summer season.


Flying Aces All-Star Show: Saturdays June 11 - Labor Day

The Utah Olympic Park offers the Flying Aces All-Star Show where Olympians and national team athletes put on a 25-minute freestyle aerial show for spectators. This choreographed show with music leaves visitors breathless as skiers and snowboarders soar up to 60 feet in the air and perform acrobatic feats before landing in a 750,000-gallon splash pool.

Park Silly Sunday Market: Sundays June 12 - September 25, 2011

The Park Silly Sunday Market is an eco-friendly open air market where neighbors and friends come together to celebrate the Park City community. Held on Historic Main Street, the weekly event features unique and eclectic local and regional arts and crafts, antiques, musical performances, delicious gourmet foods, and a farmers' market of local produce and pre-packaged items for purchase.


Mountain Town Music Community Concert Series: June - September, 2011

Mountain Town Music provides free concerts throughout the summer season at multiple locations throughout the Park City area. This includes the Community Concert Series on Wednesday evenings at Deer Valley Resort's Snow Park Amphitheater, Thursday evening concerts at Newpark Town Center, as well as free music events on Park City's Historic Main Street and in the nearby community of Peoa.

Canyons Summer Concert Series: Saturdays July 16 - September 3, 2011

Canyons once again hosts their Summer Concert Series, presented by Zions Bank and produced by Mountain Town Music. Each Saturday, Canyons will have FREE live music from 6pm - 8:30pm. Due to the popularity of these concerts, carpooling, taking public transportation or riding a bicycle to the show is appreciated.

Summer Activities at the Ski Resorts: mid-June through September

Each of Park City's three ski resorts offers a variety of activities from scenic chairlift rides to lift-served mountain biking, an alpine slide, zipline, miniature golf, a climbing wall, disc golf, and more. Park City Mountain Resort (, Deer Valley Resort (, Canyons (


Utah Olympic Park: year round

Visitors have free admission to the facility and its two museums. In addition, the Utah Olympic Park offers the "World's Steepest Zipline," the QuickSilver Alpine Slide, The Comet public bobsled ride, and the "Flying Aces All-Star Show" on Saturdays throughout the summer.


Hiking and mountain biking: May through September

Park City has over 400 miles of public trails available to the public for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. Visitors can experience mountain excursions ranging from mellow, scenic rides and hikes on gentle terrain to adrenaline-raising thrills and long distance rides and hikes on more challenging terrain.
