Snowboarding

Snowboarding is a sport inspired by skateboarding, surfing and skiing.  It was developed in the U.S.A. in the 1960s and the 1970s and became a Winter Olympic Sport in 1998, and made famous by the U.S. sweep in the half-pipe at the 2002 Winter Olympics held in Park City.  Both Park City Mountain Resort and The Canyons offer snowboarders numerous terrain parks, half-pipes and acres of free riding terrain.  On any given day, some of the world's best snowboarders can be found riding in the parks and pipes in Park City.
