A Mountain Range of Culture
If the walls of Park City's historic buildings could talk, they would describe an idyllic ski town set amid majestic mountains, but they would also spill a few dirty secrets of a shady past filled with rowdy miners and brothels. Needless to say, Park City has always been colorful. Now, Park City's cultural offering comes in the form of world-class theater, national and international performing arts, several premier film festivals, independent film screenings and the finest galleries on either side of the Rockies--we've matured a little over the years. But don't accuse us of being stuffy and uptight. We still get our raucous party nature revved on a regular basis with events, such as the renowned Sundance Film Festival and ongoing live music events, that keep the action going well after you've descended from our mountain pastime activities.
Art, culture and food: they go together like fish and chips, stripes and polka dots, teenage girls and vampires and Bob Ross and happy little trees. Take advantage of Park City's synthesis of food, fun and festivities in our culturally rich resort setting. Find antique shops, restaurants and the Park City Museum on Historic Main Street. Celebrate summer at our regionally famous Park City Kimball Art's Festival, the Deer Valley Music Festival, Park City Food and Wine Classic and the Big Stars, Bright Nights summer concerts. Bask in the talents, offerings and all-around funkiness of our eco-friendly, open-air Park Silly Sunday Market , the Park City's Farmer's Market and the nearly daily summer outdoor free concerts. Van Gogh, Bach and Freddie Mercury would all approve of Park City's ability to invigorate the body, mind and soul, with plenty of choices to fill those artistic cravings.
