Scads Of Skiers Find Park City, Utah A Slice Of Heaven - Journal & Topics Newspapers
Fresh snow fell my last night in Park City. The view from my condominium balcony at the Caledonian hotel was fabulous. Situated next to the Old Town Lift on historic Main Street, I watched the “powder hounds” that early Sunday morning. Scads of skiers were already standing in lift lines as the snow-laden chairs whisked by. Anxiously waiting for the lift to be ready to carry them to the top, the excited skiers were about to experience a skier’s dream: fresh powder!

36 Hours: Park City, Utah - The New York Times

Destination Guide: Utah - Meetings and Conventions
At the Canyons Resort, the latest options for fun are the two new zip lines, which are available year-round. For the faint of heart, an 800-foot line runs through the Red Pine area; for the more adventurous, a 2,100-foot line with a 10 percent grade crosses the canyon between Lookout Peak and Red Pine Lodge.

Super Slopes and First-Rate Food - Toronto Star
At Park City Mountain Resort, at the end of a run aptly named “Quittin’ Time,” I find High West, the world’s only ski-in, ski-out gastro distillery. Here, Chef James Dumas fuses classic techniques with local flavours to concoct contemporary Western fare offered on small plates. Best of all, he creates his own spirits: small batches of whiskies and vodkas that evoke the refuelling saloon-centric hospitality of the Old West in this former mining town, now the hub for three major ski resorts and the site of the world famous Sundance Film Festival.

Park City in the summer - Examiner.com
Visiting Park City today, it's hard to believe that this trendy ski town started life in 1868 as a wild and bawdy mining town known for its saloons and houses of prostitution. In 1869 silver and zinc mines were discovered. Almost immediately more than a dozen mines sprang up employing thousands of miners from Germany, Scotland, Denmark, Sweden and Norway.
