Over the past few years, a number of award-winning restaurants have been established in Park City, along with high-end breweries, wineries, and distilleries. There’s also no shortage of casual and delicious breakfast and lunch spots, with bright and airy cafés and coffee shops dotting Main Street and beyond.

Another quality that sets Park City apart: It has more to offer than just five-star restaurants (with the accompanying high prices). Diners will find a number of local, budget-friendly restaurants serving all types of cuisines, plus lots of seasonal specials at the higher-end spots to make them easier on your wallet.

All in all, no matter what kinds of cuisine you’re drawn to, you’re bound to taste (or sip) something you love in Park City. Without further ado, here’s our list of the top reasons why foodies should book their next trip to Park City.

World-Recognized Restaurants

Lining Main Street and beyond, you’ll find a number of chef-owned restaurants that have won top accolades for their food and drink. We have a lot to say about these fabulous spots — so much so, we even made a video series showcasing them! While we’d be here all day if we went into detail, rest assured that highly awarded restaurants such as Riverhorse on Main, Handle, Twisted Fern, Firewood on Main, and Silver Star Café deserve every bit of the recognition they’ve received.

Highly Rated Hotel Dining

While many of the highly-rated restaurants call Main Street their home, it’s well worth it to take a drive to one of our many world-class ski resorts that provide tons of tasty dining options of their own. At Deer Valley, stop by one of the several lodges for a taste of gourmet mountain fare, or visit the famous all-you-can-eat Seafood Buffet.

The Montage Deer Valley also serves up hearty options at their several restaurants that suit any taste, from Apex to Burgers & Bourbon. Stein Eriksen Lodge, the Waldorf-Astoria, and the Canyons Village also have fantastic, locally sourced menus to choose from.

Tasty On-Mountain Options

Take a break from the slopes at one of the many delicious dining options you’ll find on the mountain at both of our resorts. Newly opened in the 2018-2019 season, Rime Seafood and Raw Bar, perched at the top of the Mayflower Run in Deer Valley, serves oysters on the half-shell as well other fresh seafood. Or warm up in one of the lodges and warm up with a bowl of their famous turkey chili. At Park City Mountain Resort, you’ll find plenty of lodges on-mountain as well, and the resort also recently unveiled the newly redone Mid-Mountain Lodge, complete with a large deck offering amazing views.

Cozy Cafés

A mountain town must: Spending a morning in a cute coffee shop with well-brewed beverages, a convivial atmosphere, and plenty of comfy seating. Park City has no shortage of spots that offer all three. Just to name a few of our many options: Atticus, Park City Coffee Roasters, Hugo Coffee (which conveniently occupies the same space as our Visitors’ Center!), Lucky Ones Coffee in the library, Deer Valley Grocery Café, and Stoked, started by a local ultrarunner.

A Wide Range of Cuisine

Our mountain town may be small, but the Park City dining scene offers far more variety than you may think. Standout sushi spots include Yuki Yama, Shabu, and Flying Sumo on Main Street, Blind Dog Restaurant & Sushi in Prospector, and Sushi Blue in Redstone.

Get your Mexican fix at Billy Blanco's, Chubasco Mexican Grill, Chimayo Restaurant, and others. Taste excellent French food at the new bistro, Courcheval. Or satisfy your Italian cravings at Buona Vita, Café Terigo, Cena Ristorante, Grappa Italian Restaurant, Ghidotti's, or Cortona Italian Cafe. We even have a Brazilian café at the bottom of Town Lift, a family-friendly traditional Irish pub on Main Street, and award-winning lobster rolls.

Aussie-Inspired Breakfast Spots

The Aussies have invaded the Park City dining scene, and we’re glad to have them! Several local coffee shops were started by Aussies, including Five5eeds, Campos Coffee, and Harvest, and each showcases the healthy, fresh fare that the founders were used to Down Under. Stop by for any of these popular spots for a delicious slice of avocado toast, smoothie bowls, and more healthy yet filling breakfast options.

Homegrown Purveyors

One of the most unique parts of Park City’s food scene is the fact that so many of the ingredients come right from the chefs’ backyards (sometimes literally, in Tupelo’s case!). A few of our standout producers include Red Bicycle Breadworks (stop by the Market for a loaf of their “crack bread”), Ritual Chocolate (handcrafted, high-quality chocolate), Gold Creek Farms (amazing cheese), and Mountain Town Olive Oil (gourmet, custom blended oils and kinds of vinegar).

Classes and Tours

Tired of just tasting? If you’re looking for some education along with your feasting, Park City’s numerous culinary arts experiences have you covered. Take a food-focused tour of Park City’s Main Street, visit historic sites while sipping curated wines on the Mines and Wines Tour, or enroll in an intimate cooking class with Chef Linda at Mindful Cuisine.

Locally Made Libations

Sometimes, no matter how delicious it is, a meal just isn’t complete without an adult beverage. Enhance your dining experience with a drink from one of our local breweries, wineries, or distilleries, such as Old Town Cellars, Alpine Distilling, High West Distillery & Saloon, or Squatters
